Where are my data stored?

If you are using a shiny application that has been deployed on our ShinyProxy instance, any file that you upload will be stored as a temporary file on our server. Every time you stop the app, everything you did within it is automatically deleted (including the temporary files).

How long will this platform be maintained for?

We will maintain this platform for as long as possible, but nothing lasts forever:

• This is the Internet, where technological time is not the same as biological time;
• Services may close (for example, due to a cut in research funding), or they may fall victim to intrusion.

As a result, we cannot give a definitive figure. However, we are committed to maintaining archaeo.science for as long as it remains viable for us.
